He's been so low and sad and I don't know how to help him :(

otherwise, all the send stuff you’d do for any friend. Encourage them to go out. bit he patient as they may be too raw to be ready. Listen to them. Be supportive. Nudge them away from moping but didn’t shut them down if they need to talk.

Avoid saying things like you’re better off or she sucked etc. these things don’t Amir poo who had areal bond feel better. These things are said for the benefit of the friend who is tired if the X having an impact on their friends life and by extension , their own. It’s selfish in my opinion and unhelpful.

Help them look forward rather than trying to damage their memories —which may be very valuable or to them. And remember grief makes people vulnerable but it doesn’t make them stupid. Avoid being paternalistic. It’s a trend I see friends falling into often when their friend is dealing with heart break.

Some people need more time than others sometimes but how nice of you that you want to help out. First do things that he enjoys but here are some tips.

Go to the movies and maybe watch a nice comedy.
Go for daily walks (don't let him close himself at home all the time).
Go out for ice creams.
Have a picnic and play some board or card games.
Cook or bake something nice together.
Go bowling or to an arcade place...
