Maybe for a time but it really takes a lot of mental health support to get over a genuinely broken heart. It’s even worse when someone’s spent many years of their life with somebody and they cheat or just one day decide they don’t want to be with you anymore.

No! It just makes your life worse in other ways. My god, if somebody broke up with you, you need to move on and live a happy life. The only problem ever solved by people drinking alcohol is the profit margin of the company that made the alcohol you're drinking!

No. If anything, it makes it worse.
What a large amount of drinking will do is deaden the pain, but then that pain comes right back when you sober up but, of course, you also have the new pain of hangover.

Drinking doesn't help anything, its why people keep doing it to temporarily mend the pain. If it actually fixed stuff they wouldn't have a need for it.

Yeah for a few hours. Abusing alcohol is like stealing tomorrows happiness. And if you're already depressed it will make it even worse.
