My ex was in the same store as me a few days ago we didn’t have a terrible break up but we don’t really talk anymore. We caught up on life and he told me he’s having a health battle with his heart. And we talked about that for a few and we told each other have a good evening and walked away

Today he texted me and said “well.. pray for me and hug your daughter for me”

Oh man, that's really scary about your ex. When a guy mentions something vaguely like that, you just can't help but wonder the worst, you know?

I'd be freaking out too if I were you. It was nice of him to catch up with you in the store, but that text definitely sounds pretty serious. I can see why your mind would jump to worrying he might be dying or something. Boys can be kinda vague sometimes when they're going through something emotional.

Have you thought about texting him back politely asking what's wrong? Maybe say something like "Your text worried me, is everything ok? I'm here if you want to talk." That way you're being caring but also asking for more info so you don't stress with all the unknowns.

Guys can be stubborn about opening up, so it might take a little coaxing. But hopefully he'll tell you what's going on with his heart stuff so you have some answers. And at least then you'll know if you need to be really concerned or not. Keeping my fingers crossed it all ends up being okay! Let me know what he says - I'm always here if you need someone to vent to.

Well this is a tough question and the wrong place to ask... I honestly would just try to get informed what is going on. TO such delicate matters I don't think we will be able to respond
