Why is the lesbian divorce rate so much higher than the gay male divorce rate?

Poor socialization. A good relationship isn't found, it's BUILT- and that's something that young people aren't taught any more. Young women get it even worse, since society is seemingly allergic to teaching them accountability- this is why the domestic violence rate amongst lesbians is so terrifyingly high, and among gay men, almost nonexistent.

Add to this the fact that women are more likely to want to get married in the first place- the phenomenon of "U-Haul lesbianism" is very real- and that they're not really more likely to want to be married, and you have your explanation.

I never really thought about it and only knew one that was married and got divorced because of jealousy basically but makes sense since women usually initiate divorce and now you’re talking about two women so it probably happens twice as much since they both always think they are right and men can usually last longer because of more patience

Ignore the man on his pink 18-24 anon account. Gay guys mostly just are out for sex, not often committed relationships. The ones that actually date and make it to marriage are a bit more likely to stay than lesbians who are moving in and proposing on their third date. They are well known for rushing into everything.

Well if women instigate divorce 80% of the time and you add two women to a relationship then the divorce rate will naturally be higher. It's the same reason domestic abuse rates are higher amongst lesbians than any other couples, both are more likely to instigate it and at the same time claim to be victims.

Most men do the 80/20 rule. Is the 80% that is good in a relationship worth the 20% crap that they have to deal with? If it is yes, they deal with the 20%. Women look at the 80% and go to work on the 20%, since it is impossible to change anyone except you, the woman winds up breaking their partner. This transcends sexual orientation.

Because women are emotional creatures and are often the the one that wants the divorce before the man, in a lesbian marriage you just doubled the likelihood of one of the women to get to that stage faster.
