Because he is an ex for a very good reason apparently.

He did probably not take the splitting too well and what he does is nothing but social media mobbing.

He feels entitled to cause you anxieties and by doing what he does, he indicates that he is revengeful and has not accepted the fact that he has become an ex. He needs to rub it in your nose and that is what losers and those that have a hard time accepting that a relationship is over do.

It only shows that he is a toxic person that has not much personality and character.

Block him, so that eventually his unhealthy behavior just dies down. He is not in a good headspace, and it's not your responsibility. If you are worried for your safety, file a police report with his threat as proof. If you are not worried, then all the better
