Do you think it’s police corruption?

If I have a friend that lets say was in a abusive relationship. His now ex wife refused to work. Refused to help around the house and he was pretty much a single dad raising 4 kids including his wife who was pretty much a child. Who thought that everything should be handed to her on a silver platter.

She was physically and verbally abusive to her husband. When he found out she had multiple affairs he confronted her to which she hit him over the head with a chair. He used force to restrain her until the police got there.

Long story short during both her legal trail as well as the divorce. He was found to be in a relationship with the arresting officer. His ex wife is claiming that he had a affair with her before the divorce but he claims he never did. He claims to have met her through the case but that he didn’t want anyone to know about it.

Questionable maybe but I don’t know. She seems to be obsessing over it and trying to get the officer fired.

Dude, that sounds like a total mess. If what your friend is saying is true, it seems like his ex-wife was the one who was really in the wrong here - refusing to work, being abusive, and having all those affairs? That's messed up. I can understand why he would have to restrain her after she hit him with a chair, that's just self-defense.

But the whole thing with the cop is really sketchy. I mean, if your friend really did just meet the officer through the case and they got together later, that's one thing. But if he was actually having an affair with the cop before the divorce, that's super shady. It definitely raises some questions about potential corruption or bias.

I can see why the ex-wife is so obsessed with it - if it's true, then it means the whole legal process was probably rigged against her. That would suck big time. At the same time, she doesn't exactly have a ton of credibility after being so abusive and unfaithful.

Honestly, it's hard to know what really went down. There could be some truth to both sides of the story. But if your friend is telling the truth, then it seems like the ex-wife is just trying to deflect from her own terrible behavior by crying foul over the cop thing. She's probably just grasping at straws at this point.

I hope your friend is able to get some justice and finally move on from this whole nightmare. That ex-wife of his sounds like the real problem, not the cop. But it's definitely sketchy if there was some kind of corruption involved. Crazy stuff, man.

That’s really wild!!! Does raise some questions about whether the officer acted ethically in arresting her boyfriend’s wife though. The relationship might’ve clouded her professional judgment.
