What is most important to you when seeking a divorce attorney?

Unfortunately some things have really hit a point of no return in my marriage (long story) but we are at the point now where divorce is inevitable.

I am going to be meeting with a few attorneys before making a selection, was curious if there are particular things I should look for in these meetings?

Well I would guess it would depend on several things. If you've been married quite some time and have assets, or children that will be part of the divorce get one who has a good reputation. If it is just basically you and him going separate ways just hire the most inexpensive one you can find. Best in that situation would be talk him into using the same one and the two of you could split the cost.

I just prepared the reasons and evidence why I wanted a divorce, after that I handed everything over to my lawyers.

Find one that makes you feel good. The younger the better. Definitely make sure he has a nice suit and drives an expensive car.

Mainly look for an attorney that has a good reputation and good reviews from other people. That has a great track record of success , that listens and understands what you are going through.
