We were both going through a lot mentally that was just taking a toll on our relationship. I will be honest in saying I wasn't really as present as I should have been especially towards the end because I was just getting out of a mentally draining job. Ultimately somebody had to pull the plug and he chose to do it first.

It was a long distance relationship and after 4 years it was obvious that there was no way we were going to end up together. Late one Saturday night I called her and broke up with her over the phone.
