I have an on/off relationship for about 22 months. We have split up three times but currently trying again. The first time we split she was caught physically cheating. We got back together and no sooner than we did, she was caught sexting another man. Good on that guy as he found me on social media and sent me the screenshots. Worked on myself and gave it another shot. During a drunk argument, she called the cops on me. I won’t go into details, but I did NOT deserve to have the cops called. And, now I’m on round 4 with her… Is there any chance of this working? I am very aware I have some self worth issues and might be insane for going back time and time again. I am 39 and she is 36.

I don't understand why you appear to be a glutton for this woman's punishment. Have you thought this through?

You understand that she's abusive toward you, don't you? Since you know this, I suggest, especially at your age, that you see a professional therapist and work on your these issues.

You've chosen an inappropriate person to be with and she tears down your self worth every time she cheats on you. Nothing about this relationship is healthy. End it.

And begin a relationship with a therapist who'll work with you on loving yourself.

immediate "no" after reading "on/off relationship for almost 2 years"... after splitting up 3 TIMES, what makes you keep going back and making the same mistakes? it's not normal... cheating, sexting, etc... why do you want to be with someone like that? honestly, you both are too old to be acting like this
