Girls, Have you ever worn a revenge dress? Did it work?

A revenge dress is one you wear after a break-up, typically in regards to someone who treated you poorly in your relationship or cheated on you. The dress is either super sexy or a total knockout designed to bring maximum attention. This is where you put absolute maximum effort into looking the hottest you've ever looked.

It can be worn at the next event, club, party etc where your ex will be in attendance or just at the next thing you go to so that a lot of people are photographing you and posting to social media where you know your ex will see it. It is a very public way to show them that no, you are not crying on the couch in your sweats eating a pint of ice cream, you are not broken and they have not broken you, you are still fabulous, confident, and amazing and available for the next person whom you desire to treat you like the queen you are.

Honestly? Since my divorce wins ago every outfit is a “revenge dress” though not on purpose. When you reclaim your life and your joy it elevates you and prompts you to care about yourself again so you just look fab.


Did it work? For me, yeah. Not sure who else it’s should work for….

Nope lol. Sounds like something out of a movie. in my opinion, ex's aren't worth looking cute for. Look cute and find yourself a new partner, or look cute for the sake of vibing, but either way, the better revenge is to not give him the time of day, even in your own mind. Don't let him keep any part of you, including your thoughts.

@Abbycado you are not the only one I can assure you. I have a couple of friends who almost never wear dresses or skirts unless they are required which is very seldom.
