Did I do the right thing for calling out my ex for stalking my instagram on a daily basis?

My ex boyfriend and I broke up 3 months ago, we were long distance and he backed out when I told him that I wanted something stable.

After the breakup, he blocked me on everything. just because.

It’s been more than a month that this account is stalking my Instagram account everyday , not missing one story.

So yesterday I decided to call him out and DM that account because I know for a fact that is his fake account.

I tried to make it funny and non-defensive, he didn’t reply.
Which didn’t bother me because I didn’t think he would.

I think I did the right thing.

I just need maybe an opinion from the outside.

Setting boundaries is important, n speaking up when someone makes u uncomfortable shows strength, not overreaction..

If someone is obsessively checking your profile every day, especially someone from your past, that’s not respectful tho..

Protecting your space n mental well being is always the right choice..

The reason we broke up was because he was afraid to lose his freedom while I was looking to start a family.
