Why did my ex just follow me on Instagram?

Okay so my ex and I broke up last year on September, so we stopped following each other and stuff like that. We still talk to each other though because we have a baby together. But recently I found out he has a girlfriend, long story short he doesn't follow his girlfriend on Instagram which I find weird and he just started following me out of nowhere after such a long time. Does this mean anything?

I believe he think he made an mistake by breaking up with you. He is probably just watching you to see if you moved on or talking with another male friend. He going to try to easy is way into your life again if you let him. Its your decision if you want that to happen.
