Why does my ex still follow me on Instagram? I unfollowed him?

We aren’t full exes... we had something that had to end because of where he’s at in his life (he’s 30 and doesn’t have a job but is looking and may move far away so we ended it). But i was really upset when it ended and voiced it to him and was kinda a bitch. I unfollowed him on Instagram. That was a week ago. He still follows me. I’ve posted like 4 times since then so he sees me, he knows he still follows me... if it’s over wouldn't he unfollow me?

It sounds more like you didn't want him to move and broke it off. How do you two feel about each other and how long have you been dating? I'm just asking because moving doesn't have to end things. If he has to move for work. There's the option of you moving as well, even marriage. If you were at that point in your relationship.

We haven’t known each other long enough for that or were even close enough to that stage... I would never move for him :/

Does he contact you? Like your posts? I don't know how it was when you ended things, how he reacted. You know him better than us. He may not care about following or unfollowing you, or maybe he isn't active on instagram? Do you want to reconciliate with him?

Well we only broke it off a week ago. He doesn’t like my posts. He goes on there every day but rarely posts himself. He was the one who ended it since he said it wouldn’t work due to his career. He may not care.. I’d only want to reconciliate with him if he wasn’t moving, which only time will tell if he will need to move or not
