How do you heal after your ex blocks you everywhere?

My ex had been uncertain about our relationship since April — he didn’t know whether he wanted to stay with me or not. It was a heavy and exhausting situation, because I kept waiting, and holding on for so long. But he was my first love, and I was his too.

I’ve now been in Canada since mid-August and I'm coming back at the end of the semester. Before I left, he still didn’t know if he wanted us to get back together when I returned. Yet, he kept texting me, even when I stopped replying.

About a month after my arrival, I reached out to check on him. The conversation eventually turned to the topic of “us,” and he still didn’t have an answer. It was too painful, I felt drained and broken. So, I decided to move on and removed him from social media. The next day, he texted me: “Nice of you to delete me when you’re the one not replying.” 2 days later, I replied: “I removed you because I refuse to keep suffering. You can’t make a decision, so I made one. I won’t justify myself any further. Take care.” He read the message right away.

Two weeks later, it was his birthday, but I chose not to message him to protect myself. The next morning, he sent this: “I wasn’t expecting anything, and yet I’m disappointed. Maybe you already planned on never talking to me again, but let me confirm that I never want to talk to you again. Never.” He then blocked me everywhere except WhatsApp. 3 days later, since I hadn’t replied (and never will), he blocked me there too. So now, I’m completely blocked.

It’s been 3 weeks since that message, and nothing has changed — total silence, total disconnection.

I honestly feel really sad and broken. I’m confused, disappointed, and even a bit shocked by how he reacted. I keep wondering what he’s feeling now, three weeks later. Is he relieved? Angry? Sad too? Do you think he’ll ever unblock me or reach out again? Or am I really going to stay blocked forever? What do you make of his reaction?

Thank you all in advance <3
