Pretty shitty. 2 friends died, one more is on his way out. Some dumb kid wrecked my truck while it was parked in front of my house. The car I bought to replace it was stolen 3 months later. I had the worst gout attack of my life and couldn't walk for 3 weeks. Then I fell down and hurt my back and almost broke my arm at work, and then the next day I got my ass kicked at my other job in the parking lot. Fuck 2025!

my older sister died and my aunt died. However, my sister was a bitter, hostile, old bitch who I had not spoken with in at least five years. My aunt was a nice woman but she was 86 years old and had suffered with kidnet failure for several years.
But also in 2025 . . .
I celebrated my first anniversary,
I bought a house three times the size of my previous home,
I bought a new car,
I settled the biggest case of my career,
I served as president of my alumni association,
I served as president of my congregation, and
I began making retirement plans.
On balance, it has been a good year for me.

2025 has been a stressful year for me in America. Mostly because of so many rapid changes when we got our new president in January.
There were too many changes too fast. Then just when I thought I knew what was going on, the same thing were being changed again. I couldn't keep up with it.
If I wasn't dependent on social security to live on, it might not have been so stressful.
I'm still not convinced tariffs are a good thing. Because right after they were implemented, if I ordered anything on line, the shipping charges were definitely a lot more and so it's the customer's paying the tariffs not the country doing the shipping as they want us to believe.
Sadly because it's the end of the year, a friendship of someone who I once cared very much about has had to come to an end. But it's really for the best. But it's really his loss and not mine. He lost the only person who prayed for him and would talk about our religion ✝️ 🙏🏼 and Jesus, We did have a close spiritual relationship, but he has anger issues and it didn't take much to set him off. However, I'm not like that and never will be.
December will just roll from one day to the next and before I know it, it will be 2026.
I believe that 2026 will be equally as stressful living in America. The world is at such unrest and we never know who's going to go to war on any given day. But it seems no country is happy at this time. And now they are playing cat and mouse with nuclear explosions. 💥
It's always something and I thought 🤔 that in my old age I would be living peacefully. Ha! Was I wrong!

Amazing. a lot of bad things have happened but I woke up this year. I don't know how to explain it but everything bad that has happened, happened for a reason... I understand the purpose is me now.
I have an example, I helped a elderly lady move this week. She got injured a few months back and moved into my neighbors with her son in law, who is my very good friend. He is busy so I offered to help her move her things here. We got to her old house and it had been broken into... It was a disaster and heartbreaking for her as im sure you can imagine. All the struggles I have been through i was calm and comforting to her. My past suffering put me in the position to be her rock. She told me she couldn't have done that without me and was glad I was the one with her not her son in law. Bad things dont always make for a bad year. Bad things happen to everyone and it sucks. But bad things also make us strong and able to make it through a storm. Her worst day ever made me feel like i had a higher purpose helping her clean things up and go through what was left. A normal persom wouldn't have put the effort and compassion into it i did it wasn't a job to me it was helping a friend and a really good women. My payment is the value I feel when she thanks me every time she sees me.
I've made a lot of progress, it's also been a challenging year. I know myself better than ever but I've still got a ways to go. But when it comes to my routine and where I live that's been great. It's given me a lot of stability to expand and explore mentally. I was pushing myself a lot and then I got sick 3 weeks ago and I took holidays till I felt completely rested and now I feel I'm in a really good place. I'm looking forward to the next steps. I've also been talking to AI and for me I feel like it helps me. It helps me understand my situation, where I'm standing in more detail and it helps me frame things in a positive way so I can think positively when I'm working on things.

2025 has been a good year for me personally. Most people around me are struggling though. I'm thankful for where I am, but seeing other people struggle definitely puts a damper on the joy I feel about the things I have going on. The worst years of my life were 2018 and 2019, so it's been a positive 5 year trend for me.
I wish I could say that I think things will get better for people our age, but I don't really have a reason to think that... And I guess I'm just not sure what to say anymore...
I don't know. My best friend left me and I was depresssd and I'm still jobless and girlfriendless, but on the flip side, I did a lot of traveling and visited 2 bucketlist places and also attended my first soccer match. So probably an 8/10 honestly, even though losing Alice was horrible

Politically its been the worst year of our lives... and i have a feeling 2026 won't go well either.
in my personal life however things are alright. playing a lot of cool video games. making decent money from my job. been going out doing more things than last year. i've also been doing more work with my community to help out like going to a food drive to help and such. So i suppose for me 2025 has been a productive year.
There are still times i feel a tad on the lonely side though. so maybe 2026 ill actively look for someone to date. ill think about it.

2025 wasn’t that good…. Financially anyway…. I have faith in 2026. That’s when the Trump tax cuts and other parts of the BBB take effect and we should see things getting better.
