Why does my ex still call me when his drunk? we’ve been broken up for a year and he has a new girlfiend?

This of course isn’t the answer you seek but it makes the most sense: nobody else but him can tell you specifically why he chooses to do this. We can give you a plethora of suggestions: he’s thinking about you, trying to see if you’re still accessible, things aren’t going great with this new girlfriend, etc etc, and yet I don’t think any of it would suffice because it’s not his own explanation. So unless you’re willing to pick up one of those drunken calls then just block him and rid your mind of the curiosity. I think that if you were to answer you’d be disappointed with the fact that no matter what, he’s got nothing new to say. Nothing of value anyway, since he can’t be bothered to call sober. I say screw his drunken thoughts, let him go fully and block.

Girl, block him and solve t his problem. People do idiotic things when drunk, and it would appear that his drinking is a great reason to stay away from him.

Keep away and block his access to your phone. He is your ex because he chose to be and he has another relationship. This makes it clear he has unhealthy boundaries. Or maybe he's also incredibly greedy. Ugh.

Don't allow him to continue in this manner. Cut yourself off for your mental health! He's also a cheater! Nothing about this dude sounds appealing.

Girls in my own country experience these problems too, believe me. When a man is drunk, he wants to do the things he keeps in his heart with great courage. What gives him that courage is the alcohol. Once he sobers up, he won’t even be sure of what he did. :)

I don’t. He calls me but I haven’t answered in 6 months. I only know his drinking because it’s always weekends at like 12-3am. Sometimes he will send a message too with sentences that don’t make sense which is why I’m assuming his drunk

It's easy to block numbers and social media. You can delete messages or block new accounts and numbers without opening the message. He can see you open them, which is the same as replying to someone fishing for attention.

I understand I can easily block him and that’s a valid point but I’m just after some genuine advice on why he may be calling. I don’t need people commenting what I should do, just after some reasons on why he might be, not what my actions should be

I don’t answer actually. I haven’t blocked him though so that parts true. That still doesn’t really help me with the question I’ve asked though. I’m not after what my actions should be I’m after reasons why an ex would call. So his calling me drunk because his not blocked? Would that mean his calling his whole contact list?
