If he hasn't called in a week, is that his way of dumping me?

been dating a guy since October, on average once a week...things are great when we are together...he's not a big phone guy so the fact we don't talk often on phone doesn't really bother me Because when we are together it's all about me. told me he would be swamped with work Sunday for a week...haven't heard from him at all except in response to a text I sent him (my text was playful not confrontational about not talking to him in almost a week)...his text back was funny and sweet and he said he's just really swamped with work and had three more days of work to go. I said OK no prob good luck gimme a call if you want tomorrow (Saturday) he texted back that he would and told me to have a great nite...but now it's Monday no word yet...he did say he was working through Monday. Should I be panicking yet or should I wait til tomorrow (Tuesday)? do guys when they are really busy tend to focus on the problem at hand? it's also possible he is a little freaked out Because things have taken a turn for the more serious the past couple of dates...but again I'm not sure what's going on here. And I don't want to overreact. He has no idea I'm upset at all...I don't want to scare him off lol. but again, he may just be purposely fading away for all I know...

I would take this as a red flag personally. That's too short of a time between October and now for him to be all "yeah too busy to talk sorry" if he was really that into you he'd make time. If your antenna is up that's for a reason and I don't think you should just ignore it. if by Wed. things pick back up like they use to be maybe that's OK with you and you might be cool with it but I wouldn't like being put on the back burner cause gosh I'm just too busy for you sorry. That would really be a turn off for me. if he does this this early in a relationship just think how he'd be if he was really serious about you. I don't think this one is a keeper... :\

...and you were right! I caught him back online and I texted him (didn't mention he was online) but said I thought the way he blew me off wasn't right and he just ignored me...i guess he figures well she got the hint. I'm devastated.

I'm sorry :( he wasn't the one chica there's no reason to be devasated over his cowardly ass. if he couldn't man up and tell you that himself then is he really worth having? that'd be NO. you're better off without him.

well you could have called him. if your regularly dating its OK to call him as well. however if he has not made/returned contact within a week I'm sorry but I would consider myself single. a guy whos super into you will always find someway to get into contact with you even if its just a text or 2 or "sorry baby I'm tired". the fact that you haven't heard from him in a week? girl its 2011 there are so many ways to get into contact..

i agree...i did contact him Friday with a cute/jokey email about not hearing from him and he wrote back within the hour laughin and apologetic saying he was just crazy busy til Monday...but that's it :(

however you shouldn't panic just yet, is also true that they get swamped into other stuff and don't think about the stuff too much, maybe is really serious busy, if its his career he's probalbly 100% focusing on that righ now... relax and wait until tomorrow, when he is supposibly less busy! :)
