My boyfriend told me that he wouldn't care if I cheated on him.

The only reason why I asked him is because I was watching Oprah about cheating. WHen he gave me that response, I was surprised and offended - being the 'love of his life'. we've been together for three years, two of which are long distance( we're still long distance)... we talked about it and he said that he'd of course be hurt but he'd have to move on and the only reason he answered the way he did is because he's been cheated on so many times that he's because numb to it. I seem to think otherwise. is he hiding something from me?

I've told my boyfriend the same thing. We're also long distance. It's not that it wouldn't hurt - it would, but I care about him enough to let him have what he wants and what can I really expect from a long distance relationship? I mean guys can be jerks I'd just want him to be honest with me. But now that I love him I regret saying that because he acts now like he is going to or wants to based on a question of my own I recently asked here. =/ If he does it now though I would probably have to break up with him and move on too just like your boyfriend said because I love him and it would really hurt me now. I wasn't in love with him when I said it. =/

No. he is just saying that he does love and care for you but you or he in this situation would have no choice but to move on and get on with his life instead of dwell on it. He has just trained himself since this has happened to him so many times.
