Will my ex forget me?

Me and my girlfriend broke up (im 20) she's (19)

Im afraid we have no chance of getting back together because

1. she doesn't want to see me (she says seeing me makes her forget about everything but when we are apart she's unhappy about everything in our reltionship and doesn't wanna be with me)

2. she's going to uni in September, and her uni is like half an hour away from my house but I'm afarid of the whole wild party scene at uni and she's the type of girl to be sucked into all that

3. I'm afraid she's gonna start talking to loads of guys and forget me and then being uni with no parents or anything she's gonnna do worse and maybe sleep with one guy she likes or go wild and sleep with many guys like what most girls in uni do

4. I do love her we've been together for 2 years

5. she's being so stubborn and difficult and has created a problem from nothing

6. I accept she doesn't wanna be with me right now but I am forever with the hope we'll one day get back together, she is like family to me my mum and dad like her and I enjoy spending time with her family

7. I don't understand why she wnats to end things, my friends think she wants to let me go because she wnats to expierence uni but I dunnno

8. I forgot to metnion our reltionship has had a lot of ups and downs (shes cheated and lied) (I cheated after she broke my heart)

I just don't believe in giving up on people you love so easily or most things in life for that matter, maybemy personailly of not giving up is making me seem like a stalker but I just don't get why she doesn't wanna see me and handle this like adults

hmmmm. Sounds like if there is no good reason for the breakup, it could be that she wants to go have the college experience. Let her go, let her do all she wants to do. If she loves you, she will soon realize that those types of things aren't what she wants. But you need to go let her have those experiences, because if you try to hold her back, she will only resent you and do it later on. As tough as it may be, just act fine with it and send her away. Like I said, if she loves you, she will come back. If not, it wasn't meant to be no matter how much you think it was. Situation sucks, but there are so many good girls out there, you can find another and be 100 times as happy.

But how do I do that when I've clearly made her understand (even though she resents it) that I love her and am happy with her then without (when I told her that she said so am I but I need space) she's so contradicting and I'm so confused.

And her birthday is in 3 weeeks and I don't know if I should text happy birthday at that point, I fear if I do she either ignore it or repsong in a negative way. And if I don't ebcause of that then I fear she'll think oh he didn't text me hb so screw him

Just act OK with her needing space, it will show her that maybe you are fine without her. This will make her mind start to turn. Definitely text her on her birthday, never let fear of rejection keep you from saying what you need to say. The quote I go by is "Tell the person you love them as much as possible for tomorrow may come". Always be there until you are ready to let go and only you will know when and if that time comes. I feel your heartache, I have been in the same position.

part 2. I have been in that same position and walked away a better stronger person.. She needs to feel that you don't need her to live. She may feel smothered, but someone who feels smothered by another person is not in love. If you are in love with someone, their attention and presence is always wanted...Think about that.

Let her move on and meet other people in college. Besides, she cheated on you and would only do it again. You need someone who's trustworthy.

yeah but the thought of her being with somebody else is really disturbing, but I understand that now as time goes on I guess it will get better.

Yeah she made improvements and I didn't give up hope hence why I never left which I don't get why she can just get up and leave me now. I don't think she's not trustworthy I think she's not worth it. I deserve better than that. Its not fair that I was there for her but then she leaves when it gets bad which is why I'm cool not wanting to be her boyfriend.
