yes I am Korean. and not sure why he acts like that maybe because he has very very conservative family that won't allow international dating so he doesn't like having a gossip around and if the gossip finally reaches to his parents.. he might have a trouble or something.
It would depend what kind of people you are with, yes, there are Koreans who loveeee having dramas and talks about others (especially Koreans in other countries, because Korean community is very small there and words travel fast and they really enjoy talking about others especially at churches or libraries lol) but there are people who don't care about others at all lol.

We live in the US, and his parents are way back in Korea so I don't think it has to do wit his parents. Only 2 of his best friends and his brother knows about me. He hanged out with a lot of friends and always act like we're just friends in front of them. Plus, he never hold my hand in public! He said in Korea couples don't hold hands in public is it true or is he making excuses? And he don't let me call him "oppa" in public he said just call his name. Is it normal since I'm his gf but he doesn't want other Korean people to hear me call him oppa?
I always think all of those are just excuses that he doesn't want others to know he has a gf for some reasons. I just wanna know if all those are true?

hmm it might be because he doesn't like to get any attention from others, usually if Koreans date other races, they stare at you (since it is not that common). and not having hands in public... hmm yes couple holding hand is normal in SEOUL, Korea. maybe he is from another city though (since some cities are more conservative than Seoul). Even in Seoul people don't kiss in public or show affection in public ^----^;; if they do people would stare at them =____= and him not wanting you to call him "oppa" would be probably because he simply doesn't like to be called "oppa"

Since I don't know what kind of person he is.. I cannot give you the right opinion. He could be a bad guy who just want to date a foreign girl unofficially. but I would not know since I don't know him..

If you want to talk about it and want to know why, please talk to him about them and tell him how you feel if you have doubts.

It might also be a difference in culture that you are not used to. In Korea, most of the families are very closely knit. Sometimes multiple generations could be sharing the same house, so its natural for word to spread. And in Korea, dating isn't as simple either. Parents want to make sure their sons are married to a girl with a good family and background because marriage in Korea is like the joining of two families.

If that's his excuse for not telling his friends about you, I would just wait a little longer because it could be that since this is a newer relationship (I'm assuming), he wouldn't want his family or friends to jump to any conclusions. And you should be able to talk more about this with your boyfriend if you don't understand it as clearly as you would like to. I'm sure he would be happy to explain it more thoroughly!

It sounds like you are really insecure about the relationship you have. If your boyfriend tells you something, you should try to trust what he says. I think that it would be best for you to have a conversation with him so you can ease your doubts.
