Why are some short girls so SHALLOW?

Why won't SHORT girls give short guys a chance? On dating sites, I have often seen girls that are under 5ft and on their profile, the said they won't date a guy under than 6ft! Why would they judge a guy by height? And why won't they give a 5 ft 7 guy a chance since that guy is already a lot taller than them?
I am 5 ft 7 and only dated shorter guys but strongly prefer somebody around my height. 5'10 would be the maximum and 5'2 as the minimum.

I have wondered this as well.. not just short females but people in general. I know I know, people have preferences... but I'm like you. I'm 5'7" and have dated guys shorter than me. If he's nice, funny and we get along, then that's awesome. I don't really have any height limits to go off of, I just go out with whoever I like (granted they like me as well).

My friend is like 5'3 and likes guys who are 6'3 or taller. She say it's so her children will have a chance at sports (i. e. basketball).

It's funny, cuz she makes him sit in pictures because she's so short compared to him (5'3). She doesn't even like that either 😕

And short girl and average guys yield out average height guys. I rejected a guy that was 6'7 and 6'5 once because why can't they find someone their own height?

Finding men around your height or slightly should be the ideal. It improves genetic and no one is left with the short end of the stick.

EXACTLY. Short girls and tall guys yield short girls that look for tall guys. The yield average height sons that have trouble finding women as well. The similar principle applied for taller women and short men. That would make the genes more proportionate. Look atPrincess Diana and Prince Charles. They are about the same height and yield tall sons that look for tall women. Kate Middleton is pretty tall.

actually when it comes to male heght, the mothers genes are stronger, so her sons will never play basketball, yet tall women and short men are more guaranteed to have tall sons than the traditonal tall man short woman, i read some research article and it said that men only have a 1 in 5 chance of inheriting their father's height genes

Oh well, I do prefer women to be 5'5 plus (yes I lean towards tallies more than shorties) and blonde but that is just a preference and I've dated outside that preference and found girls outside that preference attractive. As long as it's just a preference and not something required.

I understand your point however, you are doing the same thing that she's doing. You won't date a guy over 5'10." You do realize that 5'10" is the average height for an adult male right? I don't see why height matters so much. I'm 6'1" and my only requirement for height is that she isn't taller than me (which I think is pretty fair).

I've never even met a girl taller than me before. Most men are shorter than me (like i said 5'10" is average) and the only reason I don't date women who are taller is because it would be very emasculating. It's the same reason why most girls don't date shorter guys. It's just that she set a specific boundary of 5'2" to 5'10" which is literally shorter than the average man. In other words, she's calling short girls out for being shallow when she is doing the same thing. The majority of the male gender won't fit her requirements for height (except foreign males from third world countries)

I don't like such a big height difference, it looks strange and we would have trouble holding hands, hugging or kissing. I prefer someone closer to my height because we look cute together, have no trouble cuddling, kissing, etc. I would also not feel too intimidated. I want to leave taller men for the taller women.

Trust me I agree for convenience sake, closer heights are ideal. My girlfriend is 5'9" and I'm 6'1" which is a 4 inch difference. You say you're 5'7" but you won't date a guy over 5'10" which is only a 3 inch difference. The average American female is 5'5" and the average American male is 5'10" which is a 5 inche difference. That being said, you may not be as shallow as the girls you are describing but you are still being extremely shallow. As stated before, most men in the United States will not fit your height criteria. A 6'0" man wouldn't be towering over a 5'7" woman.

I would never give taller guys a chance. I am sure there are taller, graceful and beautiful women around that height. Most tall women are models. Why does a guy want someone as short as me, I don't understand. I like guys that are 5'10 and under because I feel secure around them and they are proportionate. I stood next to a 6' guy once and I didn't like the drastic difference. I have rejected a 6'7 and 6'5 guy because they were crazy. I hate guys that tall going after me, I am sure there are women the or height around.

Regardless of your reasons or motivations behind your preferences, the point is, it's still shallow. Whether you want it to be or not, it is. Your reasons make sense and are understandable but it's still shallow because you are Xing out such a huge percentage of males from your potential date list. actually, since most men inherit height from their mother and not their father, the short man and tall woman still end up with tall sons, so following societal norms actually leads to short sons how ironic. Like my cousin's husband is 6ft his brothers are both like 6'3 and his sister is like 5'10, the mother was 6ft and the father was 5'11. My uncle and his wife are both 5'7 and their sons are 6'1 and 6'4, and i know more examples.

My girlfriend was about my height and she always felt really uncomfortable about it because she wanted to wear heels but couldn't because of my height.
