When it comes to flirting in text messaging, the key rule is the shorter and the breezier the better. You don’t want to numb the girl to you by texting often with many questions. By cryptic, use fragment sentences, and keep her guessing what you really mean. Send random text messages with two or third words followed by question marks. For example, “Going out tonight?” and “Anything exciting?” is good.
Always take longer to reply than it took her. For example if she took ten minutes to write back to your text message, take longer than 10 minutes. This is important so you don’t come across as needy or bored. Remember that you have to play the game in text just as much as you would in person or on the phone. Seductions are made and broken by text, believe it or not.
The ultimate goal of text is to get her out on a date, so you should only send a flurry of texts on the day or the day before you want to get her out. There is no point in starting a long text messaging dialogue on Sunday if you want to get her out on Wednesday night. Instead just wait until Wednesday night where you can message her something like “What are you doing tonight?” The dialogue will sporadically continue int the evening until you suggest a meeting. Write, “a drink.. 9pm?”
If you’re looking for the ultimate strategy in text messaging, it’s this: KISS… Keep It Simple Stupid.
It would be a waste to spend all that time approaching and talking to get her number and then blow it on the phone when you try to set a date. What's even more important than getting a number is knowing what to do with it.
Good Luck.

When I text a girl I flirt with her by teasing her. But I would never talk about anything that has to do with anything relationship wise. Like I wouldn't tell a girl I like her through text unless we're already in a relationship. I like to save the deep things to talk about in person.
I personally liked to be known that I'm missed or whatever. I don't like so much the physical descriptions and using too many ;)s. Cheesy romantic lines are sometimes funny and it's always nice to get a girl laughing. Lines like, "If I had a flower for every time I thought about you, I would have a garden of forever to walk in" (This was used on me, it totally had me smiling.
Or if you're listening to the radio and a song comes on and there are certain lyrics that remind you of her, then text them to her and end them with a =) or something.
I hate it when a guy tries to hit on you through text. I'd rather they flirt in person.
I also dislike it when a guy asks me out by text or message. I never say yes to that. It just seems like the guy is lacking in confidence and you never know what the guy is really like unless you tallk to them in person. The asking out over text could be all a joke... but you know for real if they say it to your face. That takes real courage and you truly know that they actually fancy you.
make fun of her in a cute way using smiley faces so she knows you really don't mean it,
also text her first, it shows you actually wanna talk to her too and it just makes her feel good.
if you were with her earlier say something like, I forgot to tell you how pretty you looked today or I had a lot of fun with you today, it will make her feel extremely special.

whatever you do make sure you do not go overboard with the smily faces! cause if you use them when you don't need them.. then when they are used for dramatic effect it won't mean as much..
Always text first for sure. & just use compliments. Tell her things you like about her. But at the same time jokingly pick on her too. Keep a good balance between the 2 and you're set.
you can't go wrong with compliments, try saying something unique that she hasn't heard before.
compliment her or something.
you could also send her those cute forwards and stuff, like that [:always text her first... that shows her you're interested and you can't go wrong with compliments.:)
