maybe i didn't give up on girls per say, but i gave up on walking on eggshells and bending over backwards just to make em happy, they are never happy. Fuck the rules that they have used society to impose on men. I make my own fuckin rules when im with a girl, i choose when im gonna be romantic, and im totally honest, so i tell them "don't ask me a question which you aren't gonna like the answer" because im not gonna lie just to make you happy, "does your ass look fat in those jeans...😕 what ass?" , and if she doesn't like it, she can walk. all i'll do is just yell "NEXT!!"
Unfortunately, there are different 'levels' or 'leagues' and maybe you are just going after women 'Out of your League' that want different things than you have.
Not a problem, just find the ones that you like, that are in 'your league'! Dude, I'm not a hot guy, and I don't have a fancy car, or wear $1000 suits or anything.
The women I like are the ones that see the PERSON, and not just the shallow, superficial things he has, or money.
It helps that I like the 'Nerdy-looking' girls that are smart, and wear glasses!! They are a lot more interesting, and a lot more fun, but I think some like to 'hide' under their 'Nerd Clothes' to see if a guy really is interested in THEM, and not just sex!!

I think that is a good idea for a while. You need to take some time to work on yourself, so that you don't put so much pressure on yourself when talking to women. You can always change your mind and start dating again once you have gotten to a better place in your life. You don't have to make a lifetime decision now.
I feel you bro I took a break myself, because of getting cheated on, and minupulated. It has happend to me multiple times in a row. I just decided to work on myself, and women seem to be approaching me more. Small world isn't it? Confidence + Swag = Success.
There's more to a woman than just her looks.
Neither of my past girlfriends are what many would consider attractive. Cute, yes, but not really attractive. While we didn't work out they had personal things about them that mattered more.
