Why do guys snap their fingers randomly while talking to you?

There's a guy that after he always talks to me or during conversation I notice he snaps his fingers a lot. He only does this while we talk or when he walks away from our conversation (if I'm short n sweet wit my answers). Why do guys do this randomly?
