Why do men ask for your hands during a conversation?

Why do men when having a conversation ask (not verbally) for your hand, shake your hand, fist bump you, high five you during the conversation This can happen a couple of times during the day other times just once throughout the day.

That's just a greeting thing that a lot of men do. I know that it's the most normal thing for me to give my friends a fist bump as a greeting.

This is something that you would be better off just asking the guy who is doing it.

They probably are trying to break the touch barrier, either because they are interested in you or because they just want to see how comfortable you can be with them
