How to get a lifeguard's number (or ask her out)?

So there's this really cute lifeguard at the pool I swim at and she's totally in to me. Problem is, every time I see her I never have my phone (or a pen and paper for that matter) since I'm in the water, plus she's technically working every time I see her.

What are some ways I can ask her out or ask her for her number?

jfc do not pretend to drown haha, but I would recommend grabbing your phone before you go into the water. run over, ask, and then put your phone back in before swimming. or ask for it w your phone handy after your done swimming. whichever you feel more comfortable with c:
