How do I get her number?

Here’s the scenario: Two Saturdays ago. I met this really hot and attractive girl from a girlfriend of mine from high school. She introduced us at her birthday party. We locked eyes and we shook hands. I didn’t talk to her right away but about an hour later we started to chat about ourselves.
Keep this in mind, before I got there she had about five tequila shots so she was a little buzzed.
As we talked more, she kept on feeding me more shots and she was beginning to get more flirtatious with me. Big shocker right? J/k

We took a pic together and everything seemed to go so right for me until the end of the party. We were the last two guests to leave the party. As we headed out the door, I hesitated on getting her phone number. I got into my truck and she got into her car and we went our separate ways.
My question is this. Should I ask our friend for her number or should I tell our friend to give her my number? That will put the ball in her court. If she likes me too and wants to see me again then she will at least text me her number right?

I don’t want to come off too creepy and desperate. I just feel like I should see her as soon as possible before she meets someone else. I really like this girl although she might not remember everything that night. At least fifteen shots will do that. I know I have to act quickly before she loses interest.
