I guy I've been kind of seeing the last 3 months has gone home for Christmas since he went over a week ago he hasn't contacted me at all and I usually hear from him everyday (or every other day at least) since he didn't text me I measaged him last week and we were talking for a couple days then he stopped replying all of a sudden. A few days later I text him on facebook saying merry Christmas but he's just ignored it (hes been online but just hasn't opened my message). And now I've saw that he's watched me snapchat story from last night but still hasn't opened the snapchat i sent him last week? I really like this guy and we were really good friends for a bout a month before we started seeing each other. His ex cheated on him before we met and she's been trying to get him back ever since he's told me he would never go back to her but since they both live near each other at his hometown Im kind of scared that something is going to happen between them. I can't see any other reason he could be ignoring me for :(

Should i ask him whats up or just ignore him in hopes he will contact me? We were really good friends first which is why I don't understand why he would just ignore me like that. He was really nervous about going home because his mother and father just split up so I only wanted to. make sure he was doing ok with that.

He saw 2 other girls before me I was worried about being a rebound but when we started seeing each other he asked if we could take things slow because he still had trust issues snd wasn't 100percent over what happened between him and his ex. He didn't even want to have sex with me for like a month because he told me he felt that this was more than sex (which what he essentially used the other 2 girls for)

I see. Luckily for you I got dumped by my ex a little bit over 2 months ago for possible cheating (I still don't know for a fact if she did or not, but everything points to it and everyone else thinks she cheated as well and my friends finally convinced me to see the truth) so i can relate to him completely. I don't think he's in the right place mentally to make that commitment with you at the moment. Having the person you're in love with betray you really fucks you up mentally and it's very hard to move past that. It's hard to want to be in a relationship with someone when the last you were in one you got royally fucked over. He's going to tread as carefully as possible because he doesn't want the same thing to happen again and only when he's ready to let love into his life will he be able to let you into his. So it can either be things are going great but now he's scared because he doesn't want the same thing to happen or he's just not into you.

Yea it's a tough situation to be in and I'm sorry that you've already gotten involved with him, catching feelings sucks sometimes doesn't it? Honestly, if it's been 3 months and he's hanging out with her, he's definitely not over her and most likely wants her back even if she did cheat. If my ex were to come back to me 2 weeks ago I would have most likely taken her back as well, even though I know I shouldn't (pretty much over her now). It looks like he hasn't gotten to that place yet where he knows he deserves better and doesn't want anything to do with her. He'll never let you into his heart as long as it's preoccupied with his ex, there's only room for one person in there. It's up to you to decide what to do with this information.

Ya a bit has happened but Im just as confused tbh. Basically we ran into each other at a club when I got back and he was asking how my Christmas off was and he said to me that I must hate him and that he had a lot going on over Christmas and we talked and soent the evening together had a great night and he walked me home. After he left me at the door he rang me and we talked for 2 hours on the phone. And then he went MIA again so I text him wishing him luck in his job interview a couple days later we stayed in contact for a couple weeks but didn't know what we were because he kept saying he missed me and wanted to meet up but never initiated doing it. So i started to act pissed at him and he knew it so he asked if evrything was ok and i just explained why I was off at him for constantly giving me mixed signals. He told me he wanted some time to think because he wasn't sure if he was ready for a relationship and doesn't think be would be a good boyfriend towards me because he had major -

Love can be very difficult. And hard to discern what's really real from what are just feelings.
You had sex because you felt an emotional connection, and that's fine.

Now you need to let him go and wait and see what happens. Don't try to figure it out, don't pin away your life waiting - just go on living. Be available, not pursue.

And no, he wasn't lying, he's likely trying to figure out what he really wants. And it truly does sound like he's not quite ready. But things may settle in other areas allowing him to focus back on you. Or not. You can't force it either way, so just let it go.

Always have options, have a backup plan. Date, be friendly, have friends, pursue your education/career. And be happy!
