Why is he ignoring my snapchats?

I have been snap chatting this guy for 3 months now and he keeps doing something weird. He will randomly ignore my snap for a day until the streak is gone and then snapchat me back like an hour later. It has happened 3 times now and he never boxes me, just ignores. Does anyone know why he could be doing this?
