Where can I get free audiobooks?

Librivox! They're the audiobook wing of the Gutenberg project, and are working toward making public domain audiobooks of every work in the public domain. It's all volunteer based, so the actual quality is kind of hit-or-miss, but if you find a few good readers you like, you'll be set pretty much forever.

Of course, it's public domain works, so it's all old stuff by its nature, but any of the great works of literature you've ever wanted to read, you're set on.

Your local public library is also a good option.

The library. My local library has hundreds (probably thousands) of audio books you can physically check out. Plus it has access to free Hoopla, Libby and Kanopy. I don't think Kanopy has books, but they have other media.

Libby and Kanopy don't let you browse without an account, but Hoopla does.

There are some on youtube, but there could be legality issues. Some smaller audiobooks may be pay what you want on the original 'writer' and or audio book maker.
For cheapish but hot free audible and spotify.
Also most modern libraries have audiobooks but also not free most of the time.

Try your local library but there free ones on YouTube. It all depends on what you are looking for. If it is recent books it is not likely to be on YouTube due to copyright.
