I started getting lower back pain 2 days ago that was 8/10 then next day I tried using roller and the pain radiated to my upper back. I know it’s not from the gym because I’m always careful with my form and the amount of weight I can handle. It still hurts a lot to this day and wondering if I can still exercise and does heavy lifting have to be avoided while I’m in pain? I heard there’s certain exercises to do for back pain but not sure what.
Walking helps a lot. Also, playing drums. Swimming or even just resting on your elbows on the edge of the pool with your lower half dangling in the water for a good while. I've never thought to try it before but, maybe doing The Twist would help. I've had back trouble for at least a week know. I was able to crack my hip joint the other day and the pain almost went away but, now, it's back. Take a couple extra strength Tylenol. I used to do stuff on the kitchen table but I can't do it anymore since I lost my house 4 years ago. Rub the spot with the back of your wrist when you stand up. Just a few seconds of that feels much better. Even your knuckles will help. Have you tried the ice pack - heating pad thing? Lay flat on your chest with an ice pack where it hurts for no longer than 15:00 and then, after another 20 or 30, put a heating pad on it for another 15. Do that over and over again a few times with about half an hour between each extreme. If the ice is too cold, wrap a thin towel around it. Any longer than 15:00 with either one could do more damage. And DON'T sit or lay ON them. That'll make it worse, too! Do stretches at the bottom of a set of stairs. Stand about 2' away and put one foot flat on the bottom or 2nd stair and gradually push the rest of your body (except the other leg) into your leg on the step. Stay there for a moment then gradually revert and do the same with the other foot on the step.
Something else that helps is a spray called, Max Freeze. It's kinda temporary and you have to be careful not to get it in your eye, on your skin (other than your back) or to inhale it. Just a single quick schpritz will instantly get rid of the pain but only for about an hour or two before you need another shot.

First, see a doctor. Even minor back pain could be a sign of something much worse. Ignoring it can be life altering or potentially fatal. So, again, see a doctor!
If it’s nothing to worry about, the doctor may refer you to a physical therapist or recommend some exercises you can do yourself at home. Make sure you use a mirror so that your form is good, and keep doing them for the prescribed period even if the pain and limited range of motion subsides. If you have the money or decent insurance, take the physio. He or she will be able to recommend exercises you can do to prevent similar injuries in the future.
Don’t forget…. see a doctor!
Hello.
It is necessary not to do sports in a way that will have a bad effect on the body in terms of pain. It is necessary to pay attention to warming and not to load it in weight.
If exercise is good for you in reducing pain, you should exercise rather than weight.
Use a pain-relieving cream. There are creams with horse chestnut, red pepper, so I'm talking about menthol creams.
You will need to do a massage.
My doctor said it's unwise to sit around (you can freeze up) but don't do anything to further strain. I do exercise bands gently (after getting checked) to keep the muscles warm and moving.

Depends on the pain where it is.
If it is muscle pain then its ok but if pain is in spine then reduce the weight at the minimum & avoid weighted core workouts.
If its muscle pain then use hot water daily to recover that & avoid static stretch. Avoid working on that middle for a week & u will see some improvement. Then u start with low weight.
If its spine pain then u must take xray or mri before doing any thing. U should know whats going on inside. The back is a tricky thing. You can have back pain and it could be caused by overdoing it at the gym. It does not have to happen all at once. Take a couple of days off, ice your back, rest and after a couple of days if it does not feel better you need to see a doc.
Please go to a professional and get it sorted out. Figure out what the pain stems from.
If its pain, I would only dare to go for a walk as long as it's manageable.the back has large muscles that are very easy to injure. I would not work out with backpain. A stationary exercise bike may be OK, but I'd consult your doctor or a physical therapist.
Nope u SHOUKD see r dr get an MRIto see what’s going on
Depends on what causes the pain, see a doctor. Meanwhile you can do moderate exercises that don't give you pain.
After my back surgery I was told no leg lifts, free weights, etc. So I guess go it slow.
