Not only did I grow up with an abusive, manipulative, narcissistic mother, but a lot of my extracurricular activities and formal education were geared around learning to influence and see attempts to influence others.

So I grew up learning to navigate manupulative behaviour, and then learned how to use the same techniques but in a (kinda) ethical and "positive" way.

Combine that with years of client management work, and growing up in an elder-worship patriarchal culture, and I have a solid grasp of how to butter up and influence most average people.

But I sometimes feel bad about it dur to my own traumas. I do enjoy using these skills om particularpy annoying clients though.

Manipulation is almost more Machiavellian than strictly narcissistic, but yeah it's not such a good thing most of the time.

When it's a hostage negotiator using the skill to save lives or someone talking a suicidal person off a window ledge it's extremely valuable.

Asking if a person finds it easy to manipulate others is not the same as asking if they actually use that skill, or in what context.

I personally know how to manipulate, and deliberately go out of the way not to do so.

It's easy enough with a lot of people around me - but it's not worth it.

So I ignore those if I can, and instead try to stick to the ones with an own brain and opinion.

do I? Generally I don’t need to…because it’s not necessary to manipulate to get what I want…I just ask. Most are kind and no need to play games.

I don't like manipulating people. It's not easy for me because I always do the opposite of a manipulator, which is tell people what they don't want to hear.

If by using someone's trust to get them to do what you want, not cool. Especially if your husband or wife. It will backfire later. But drama people love weaving webs.
