if you ask a girl to come over to watch netflix and chill, does it always means you only want sex or does it happen you ask for it, but also potentially want something more than just sex?

I have been on two dates with this guy and felt like things were going good, we have chemistry we are attracted to eacother etc. But it really turned me off when he suggested for our third date (if i can even call it that) that we could watch netflix and drink some whisky, because it signalized to me he doesn't want to actually date.

We haven't actually discussed what we both wanted out of this, but if i do go to meet him i'll ask him. Again i dont really feel like going because i feel like i already know the answer, but i also have a tendency to jump to conclution, so a male's view on this would be great
