Unsure of his feelings for me? What does that mean really?

I've been dating this guy for 3 months now and have seen him exclusively (he hasn't dated anyone else either) for all this time. I asked him recently where he thought things were and he said that he is 'unsure of his feelings' for me. But generally he's not a person who is aware of his feelings. He still likes spending time with me, we see each other every week and he talks to me a few times a week. Is this bad news? Some of my friends say I should give him a break as it's only been 3 months. Some friends have doubts about him. What do you think? Is it common for guys to take more than 3 months to figure out whether he wants a long term relationship with a woman?

confront him honestly about it because I see that unsure as a possibility that he could turn on you now I'm not saying he's that kind of guy but I'm saying if he is he will cheat on you and then dump you and it will hurt
