Should I put my thumb inside my girl's mouth before I kiss her?

Before we make out, I usually caress her lips with my thumb and it turns her on so much, and I love it too, but I've recently seen a lot of posts about how he guy puts his whole finger inside her mouth , does that have any stronger feeling or something? I think that if she wants to suck your thumb she will suck it herself lol. I only say this because I run my finger over my boyfriends lips and he jus kinda grabs on and does it himself. Same goes for when he does it to me.
