I've been friendzoned, why does she still text me daily?

I've been friends with this girl for three years now, but we became close friends just a couple months ago. So a few weeks ago, I asked her out, and after she thought it over for a couple days she told me that she just wanted to be friends. After she friend zoned me, though, we've still been regularly texting, almost everyday. Why does she still text me? What does she want from our relationship? Do normal "just friends" text daily? Plus, I know from her friend that she doesn't text people very often.. and she's not very fond of texting.

Dude, you are only 17. She told you already. She just wants to be friends. Stop making it more than what it is. Don't obsess over her. If you want a girlfriend, move on. Start dating other girls.

And date casually. Don't start with all this drama. Just keep it casual and light.

You're giving her the attention she craves, so she'll keep coming to you for attention.

Simply STOP giving her that attention, and tell her you're not interested in just being friends. Don't text her any more, if you reply to her text do it a day or two later.

If she saw you as a friend before you said you were interested and is behaving the exact same way afterwards it's her norm. She is treating you like a friend - whether she does that will others or not is irrelevant when she has told you she wants no more than friendship.

Normal just friends text daily. It does depend on how close they are. She probably just wants to be good friends.
