I'm just curious since I'm white and my girlfriend is an Asian girl and I haven't the slightest clue about what she was hinting at and none of the comments on youtube clarified it.

It's because of the context of yellow fever, Asian females being exotic submissive geishas is a result of imperialism/military occupation by Western Powers (read: White). Colloquially it is generally used to refer to a white guy who only dates Asians. When it's a hispanic guy who has a thing for Asians... it's a hispanic guy who has a thing for Asians, generally he isn't said to have yellow fever.

Again this is based off general trends. Many Asian women (especially Indians) are self hating of their race and idolise light skin. There is even one firm example of this where an Australian Indian model, spoke of her childhood and how her parents would discourage her from going out into the sun because it would get darker, and how they would put skin lightining cream on her face to make it lighter.

It is known fact that media often demasculate men of their races as being less masculine than whites and stereotype them either into being nerds, weirdos or some low class job like taxi drivers.

Put the 2 together and it's not so far fetch to see why women of said race put whites on a pedestal.
