So what's the rule for watching Instagram stories of your crush?

I really think things won't work out. However, sometimes I am like I really don't wanna "check" her life stories if she doesn't wanna share them in the form of a post because it will make me come off as creepy or as if I am still "thinking" of her. Someone told me that not watching stories of any person makes you seem as if you are giving efforts to avoid it because there's no efforts in watching someone's story. lol
