i don't think i'm ugly, and hopefully i don't have a bad sense of humor, but I'm 16 and have never even had my first kiss. if no guys like me in high school, will they never like me? will i never get married and just be lonely?

Let me tell you something, just because you don't fit some mold someone else put in your head, doesn't make you any less secure, significant, and accepted! Where does it say you need to date, kiss, blank amount of guys to be a desirable person? Did TV tell you that? Did your friends? Who ever told you, let it go, it doesn't matter. Don't go rushing into a relationship because you feel like you need one, when your 16! Its fine! I say you should focus on school, bettering your character, building friendships and family relationships, think about the future, and more. Dating will come, but it doesn't have much significance here and now.

I would say, many rush into a relationship and thats where they go wrong! They end up hurt and some people can't handle being by themselves. Make sure you can function and think on your own!

You can date if you truly want to, thats fine, I think dating is great, but know your possibilities. Maybe you haven't dated because it isn't the right time for you, for whatever reason you just aren't ready yet. Or maybe, the right person hasn't come yet. Right person at the wrong time, won't work out. Maybe you just need to be at the right time, maybe it is not this very second.

Make sure you are at the standards you set for other people, you want the perfect man, well you have to be the perfect woman.

Your 16, this is not only not unusual, its probably a good thing. Boys your age are just now starting to figure out how to approach a girl, how to flirt so most are unconfident, most are unsure of themselves so they frequently do not ask the girls they like out because they are so uncertain. Further more because you haven't had a boyfriend at 16 does not mean that your going to be alone for the rest of your life, plenty of people don't start dating until their 20s for what ever reason. It also has nothing to do with attractiveness. Stop worrying about it and start enjoying your life, when it happens it will happen, you freaking out and hating yourself or worrying about it will not make things better. Your still a kid enjoy it because you only have a few years before that ends.

Too many kids in highschool know how to properly show their feelings to one another. I was one of those girls who was pretty in highschool, yet my lesser-attractive female friends had boyfriends all the time. It wasn't until Facebook came out, and when I joined in 2007 all these highschool guys I used to know began telling me they had crushes on me and wished they had asked me out back then.

So if that's any indication that people don't know what they're missing out on, just know that privately they are probably thinking one thing, but too afraid to actually do something about it.

When you're out of highschool, you are in a different world, meeting new people through work or college and people act more like adults in the way of approaching you and wanting to get to know you. So no, this does not last forever, trust me.

High school is only a very, very small part of your life. Just because you aren't attracting guys right now doesn't mean it will never happen. You still have a lot of life ahead of you. High school isn't the only thing that matters. In fact, most people will fall in love and marry someone they met AFTER high school. Very few people end up marrying their high school sweetheart. So try not to worry about it.

I loved playing soccer therefore I must've been a lesbian, I'm not.
I got judged by my looks and the fact that I was good at sports.
None of the guys noticed me.
Things soon changed when I left highschool.
I even went to the 20 year highschool reunion and I was really shocked at how much people had changed.

I was ugly in high school. no girls ever looked at me sexually and I accepted that I would be alone forever. at 24, I grew into my body, my face changed from the awkward teen to a man. girls from my high school days are shocked to see me. I get girls coming onto me now and some are very strong about it.
