Sapiosexual is an informal term for a person who is attracted to people by their high intelligence.

I definitely am. My ex was not very attractive but my feelings for him started from when I discovered how brilliant he is. And even now he's the most intelligent teenage boy I've met in my life so far.

I've also rejected a hot guy once cause I felt like he wasn't really that 'brainy'. Don't get me wrong, he IS nice and a damn talented athlete, we're friends in kungfu class and I definitely aspire to be as skilled as him.

Even though probably 99% of people are not sapiosexual, it's good that you are, though! I'm on the other side of the coin... I'm the one who loves to learn. Below is the bookcase in my office at work which contains only a small fraction of the books I own. The topics of the books in this bookcase range from accounting, finance & corporate strategy to business marketing to computer programming to the Middle East conflict to advanced English grammar to linear algebra to chemistry/physics/materials engineering to negotiation tactics.

Well science has many fields. I would like to go towards astronomy. Indiansstudied astronomy very well especially after mass debrief launch of one of our satellite in past history.

Literature. Books. I'm a big Bengali literature freak and I'll start with English Literature later on.
Language. Fluent in Mandarin, planning to learn Arabic and Spanish.
Martial arts. Learning for years.
Science. Although I want to study engineering specifically for my career, I still love all kinds of science.
Economics. Optional subject taken only because I find it interesting.

The thing is, you can't get everything in life. While I'd love to be focused on one thing for my career, I'd still with on everything else I can have knowledge about, one by one.

The craziest physics thing I have heard recently is that there is a theory that matter has both particle and wave properties. So if you take matter and shoot matter at it that has an opposite phase -- when the two pieces of matter meet their opposite phases cancel each other out and the matter is destroyed. Here's an example from their composition course that is titled "Building Great Sentences". Even with econometrics, I recently discovered that there is principal components analysis (PCA) -- and then discovered that PCA is a whole field on it's own!

So you'll probably find this out too with whatever you study. You'll discover that there are lots of little areas within the field that you are studying -- and then when you investigate these areas further you'll discover that these "little areas" are actually entire fields of study on their own and that they have little areas within them that you have yet to discover.

strictly speaking it means you are attracted only to those of higher intellect, or rather, those who strike you as having higher intellect (since there is no fail safe way of measuring it)

but thats rarely how the word is used. mostly it is used in the sense that if you met 2 equally attractive people, you'd go for the smarter one, or, if you are physically attracted to someone, but they strike you as a dumb idiot, you'd immediately lose interest

so it's not so much that it's about intelligence alone, but more so that it's a (really really really) big factor
