Should I apologize for being a bad date? How?

I just wasn’t having a good day the night of the event. I was having family and work issues and I definitely showed in my attitude.

We’re friends... and we went with a group of friends. And as much as I tried to talk to the people there I just wasn’t feeling it. I feel bad for my date, but I don’t know how or if I should even apologize. Any advice?

Of course you should. You just said "I feel bad for my date". Well if you do something that you know is wrong, and it has an adverse effect on someone you consider a friend, all you have to say is what you told us. Here would be mine... " I want to apologize for my less then desirable attitude, there's no excuse for my behavior. But there's a reason and it's my family, it's my job... etc. Remember no excuses, but a reason it happened. GOOD LUCK! 😊

I would definitely apologize to your date especially if you want a second one. We all have off days and off nights so I suggest that you explain it to him that you were just having a tough time and try to make it up to him. Maybe offer him another date

I would just say "hey, sorry about last night (or whenever it was), I had a bad day, I really hope I didn't ruin it for you, but I'm glad you came" or something along the lines of that, let him know that it had nothing to do with him

I don't know why you should apologize, you're not under and obligation to be the social aid to your date or do anything particular. Did you commit to anything other than just going on the date? If not then don't apologize, just say you weren't feeling great that day and you want to make it up to them next time.

If you liked him and want to see him again, yes apologize and do it exactly like you've done here. You don't need to get into specifics, just say "I'm sorry for the last date, I wasn't having a good day and wasn't myself, can we try again?"

You should apologize, maybe it was the environment or something else distracting you. If he accepts your apology maybe ask to go somewhere more to your liking and if it's not meant to be let it sail.

Has he said anything or changed with you? If he does and you like him, talk to him, but if he doesn’t, he might’ve not even noticed that you were in a bad mood since you went out with a group.
