Considering the little information I have, I'd say sit down at your computer, and start preparing to have a serious talk with him.

From what I can see, you want to be with him, and you're okay with your relationship being open, but both of you have got to be involved in some way.

Make some points, put him in your shoes as well, how would he like you with someone else if he didn't know about it.
