Are narrow hips a dealbreaker?

I always hear how guys prefer wider hips. Mine are not straight but I'm definitely small compared to others with a defined dip. Is that considered unattractive?

some do some dont. sure its more attractive to have wider hips but some guys are not super attracted to it and most guys are attracted to a variety of different looks or we would be extinct by now. i have narrow hips as well but i lift weights for it and i dont like them but im not very insecure about them anymore (but maybe thats because i dont want to have children so my hip size doesn't really matter that much).
plus as long as they are proportionate who cares? there are a lot of attractive women out there who dont have the best looking bodies but guys will still find them attractive.

I had narrow hips before my prego and when i lose weight they will be narrow again.

Yes, a lot of guys stare at and a lust after a girl with nice wide sexy hips.

Yet, when i am in bed with a guy, having narrow hips really turns some guys on. it is easier to do some positions and guys love grabbing my hips hard when we are doing doggy.

TBH, the real problem with narrow hips is when you have a baby. It can make having the baby hard.

But i think you have to get guys to tell you what they like.

Wider hips are generally more attractive because it triggers an instinctual part of our minds that says that body type is good for bearing children. However with advances in medicine it doesn't really matter what your hip size is. And it certainly doesn't make you unattractive.

It does in fact make it a little easier to have children, a wider pelvis can expand further as the baby passes through that area. But women's bodies are made to basically funnel the baby out. Wide hips simply make it a little bit easier.

it doesn't matter how wide your hips are in comparison to your friends. it matters how wide they are in comparison to your waist and chest. if they are pretty narrow that's i guess you could say "less then perfect" but who is perfect? it doesn't make you sexually unattractive or anything. it just makes you you.

it is just an evolution thing women with wider hips aka baby making hips have higher odds of having healthy offspring which is a good thing when trying to contribute to the survival of the race. So I wouldn't consider it a deal breaker as clearly there are way to many of us so we surviving just fine.

People are geneticly wired to look for others that look like they have strong genes to pass on to their offspring wide hips in women tend to be that sign, I personally look for an athletic build which is not usually hugely wide but big enought that you can't draw a straigh line from shoulders to ankles. Also everyone has a type for some its super skinny

You're right, it's said that guys like wide hips (wouldn't say prefer). However, I think that's only said to appease women with wide hips and is mostly said by other women...
Personally, I've wide hips and thick thighs and think most (white) guys actually prefer women with narrower hips. Just look at top models and most famous Hollywood celebrities.

Agent and Anon-ymous1. That's your opinion—keyword: opinion—not a fact. Men like y'all always do that and always want to discourage women who don't look a certain way or women with wider hips. Not everybody likes that look. That's why God made different body types. When it comes to wider hips, hourglass, and pear shapes, y'all always want to defend them when somebody is lifting up other body types or different hip widths, like narrow-hipped women. That's what I have a problem with. Like what you want to like, but don't put people down in the process.
But anytime somebody uplifts body types other than what y'all consider attractive, you always want to put them down. Nobody ever puts wide-hipped women down when somebody is lifting them up, but when it's narrow-hipped women or slim women, y'all just cause destruction in people's minds.

Not directly, no. However women with wider hips tend to also have a wider pelvic inlet, which does make birthing easier. Especially with modern medical procedure, this isn't really an issue. But the biological association with wider hips=wider pelvic inlet=less likely to die in childbirth still remains.

Not true. The iliac crest is responsible for wide hips, which has nothing to do with the size of the pelvic inlet. I've birthed multiple kids with ease and I know many women with similarly narrow hips who have also.

The size of the iliac crest is generally within a certain proportion to the rest of the pelvis, including the bones of the pelvic inlet. Larger iliac crest typically also means wider pelvic inlet because they are generally proportionate to eachother.
