What does it means when your boyfriend calls you boss?

So basically i was going out somewhere with my boyfriend and i told him that let's go to a cafe and he answers "OK boss". I never understood what he means.. He sometime calls me boss soo. Do anyone of you know what it means?

its a term of endearment -usually- guys will sometime say with women to playfully make her feel they have deference bc they feel comfortable as they do not feel inferior.

i can not decide if its cute or patronizing. i think its more towards cute on the verge of patronizing mildly-- depending upon if they respect me in serious matters and times of actual crisis not just playing at in light times.

i do not think anything bad is intended, its just usually something a person feels comfortable doing with those they feel no threat from. whether its bc they feel equal or superior ends up making the difference on how it manifests but on its own i think its just meant to be cute. i think its similar to how in latin cultures they call the kids momi and papi. its cute bc they are little and obviously not mommy and poppy. but its a bit diff bc you're talking about amongst adults.

thats just a phrase guys use, its nothing special other than it shows he is relaxed enough around you to use these sorts of casual phrases (which is a good thing)

Maybe he just says it as a cute joke. Like yeah boss what do you want me to do. I have always been told that the woman is really the boss in the relationship with some things. So I guess he is kinda making it literal as a cute way.
