What is the difference between being in love and caring for someone?

There is a guy I have been seeing romantically meaning we are very attracted to each other but also have a good friendship.
He messages me first thing in the morning and if we can, we talk until late at night.
He always thinks of stuff I like like jokes, memes, articles and he sends them to me.
He uses Google to translate messages into Spanish to help me learn it.
He sends me selfies and pictures he takes for me from everyday life.
Once he gave me a love poem and said it's for me to enjoy it.
Whenever we are together he listens to me and asks questions about me. He says he's rather listen to me than to talk about himself. He's very gentle with me and kisses my forehead when we're cuddling.
I feel I'm in love with him and I know he cares about me. But the question is how do I tell the difference between him caring about me and being in love with me.
