TOTALLY!! You will change, SOOOO much, after high school, through college, and later, that you won't even really know the people you went to high school with!! I haven't been in any contact with ANY of them!!
But, when you are in HS, there is always one, that you just KNOW that you can't live without!! Guess what? After two or three years, going to distant colleges, you move on, and find someone even better!!!
I didn't listen at your age, either, and I thought I was different!! 'We' were different, and going to be HS sweethearts that married later!! Like I said, two years apart, 2000 miles away at different colleges, she found someone, I found someone, and now, we send Facebook greetings, at birthdays, and Christmas! I don't even really know her, anymore, as she has changed so much. As have I!!
Life is change, at you have barely experienced ANYTHING!! Don't think that any one you know now is anything like the AMAZING people you can meet later!! The whole WORLD is out there!!

Is practicing how to do something before it really counts a waste of time?
Of course not... If you can't even make a highschool relationship worthwhile and work how do you expect to do with a more serious one?
That's like asking if highschool itself is a waste of time and if you should just skip to college or even a graduate degree.
If you can go go for it but I doubt it...
No because some might last especially if they really love each other. But u have to date the right person because some might take it as a joke. If they want to date they have to date someone that want a relationship not be playing games.
Depends. Did this relationship form naturally without drama/chase. Then, sure, do it up. But when teens spend so much time on he said/she said, crushes, gossip drama, its a waste of time.

High school? Depends. If it's like, 9th, 10th, 11th grade, then kind of yeah. But maybe 12th grade? But you don't even know if you're going to the same college, or whatever. So it really depends.
Highschool love is not a waste of time. its the stage where attraction is happen but always give priority to study before relationship.
