Why girls seem to prefer men with dark features over men with light features?

I honestly don't get it. What is so special about being dark haired, tan skinned and dark eyed?
It's funny because generally speaking in terms of physical dominance the men with light features (bright eyes, bright hair, etc) are stronger, taller, more massive than those with dark features.
Yet women always fall for those men with dark features. Why?

I am from a country where most people are tan. Therefore tan guys are most attractive to me. I like all eye colors. Hair doesn't really make a difference - but usually the people with tan skin have dark hair too.

But really that second statement - white people are bigger than colored people... bruh.. have you seen Tank? Edris Elba? Usually if I see people that are taller and bigger, they are most definitely NOT white. Not being mean I just dont understand where that statement is coming from. Are you from the US?

I mostly prefer white guys but there are some pretty attractive guys out there with dark features and interracial relationships aren't as big of a deal as they were back then so of course it's going to happen more often than it used to

I honestly don't care much as long as I'm smaller than them. I've been attracted to pretty much all races at least once in my life. But I stick to dating only locals to avoid complications due to culture and things like that.
