I'm not saying this is a general rule but most of the time that is the truth.
For example nowadays in America and Europe the standard of beauty for men are black men and tanned skinned latin guys while the standard of beauty for women are generally fair skinned blonde/brown-haired women with colored eyes.
Why do you think that's the case? Why are women with dark features and men with light features not considered as attractive as their counterparts?
PS: Im not saying women with dark features and men with light features aren't attractive, because many of them really are but they are not considered as attractive as others.
