MGTOW/TRP: Do women love opportunistically?

I guess the most concerning point I've personally read from these communities is that "Women won't love you the way you want to be loved, they love opportunistically". That women get bored eventually, even when her guy is performing and providing. That a guy must;

1. Always be growing at an "exciting" rate so that he's in constant competition with other men.
2. Never show neediness. He has to be valued higher than her so that she's dependent on him.

This causes them a lot of pain/anger, but the arguments are often convincing. Therefore they become bitter, pursue self growth, but limit their expectations on romantic love. Some go as far as avoiding women all together, but I think most just avoid commitment. They form trust issues.

Are these cynical points? Or realistic to human desire?

I don't know if "opportunistic" is the right word, but from what I've seen it seems that men do love differently and want something that women don't seem to offer.

I've heard it called something like "mother-man love." It refers to this observation that guys want love from women in a way that no women can love them or at most only their mother could love them: without care for status, station, confidence, income, charisma nor education, etc. Furthermore, that men have learned how to love women from the first intimate and most sincere relationship they would have had with a woman -- their mother -- and that's the love they offer to other women, but women don't seem to return that kind of love... not to men they take as partners at least -- only a child apparently.

I don't know to call it opportunistic or what, I don't know all the details about how it works, but I can see how guys work quite well. I think I would just say that women love their children more than they could love their partner. When stated that way, it seems like it clicks with some other things -- it actually seems an idea that's quite familiar, no?

I would imagine that parental love is stronger for both genders, though I could see how mothers would have a higher attachment due to childbirth. Men don't necessarily love unconditionally either; they tend to prioritize appearances. No one can really deny that status, looks, etc. are important. I guess MGTOW is the belief that those are the only things that matter, and women are harder to satisfy then men (paraphrasing). Perhaps for the reasons you stated, men are eager to love with more commitment, whereas women are more strategic?

I don't think men prioritize looks to a degree that makes life difficult. They have a basic threshold to click with the woman and then that's it, personality is the rest of the game.
With women it seems like there's a number of different thresholds to be met and they all sit high than what men generally expect of women. Plus it shifts more over time and with how the woman changes. Like we see that statistically as women's income grows women generally become exponentially more demanding of what they expect from men.

"Strategic" makes sense.

When I talk about loving like a parent I think it's more about the type of it rather than to say who loves who more. I'm saying men can love women in a similar way to how they can love their kids. Whereas with women there's a greater margin between the two; they feel the need to "look up" to men, which is contrasted by children. With men it's all in the 'same direction' if you catch my drift.

I wouldn’t say all women, but probably most. Most men and women are fairly opportunistic, but yeah, its easier to feel it when its women doing it as a man. That’s just the nature of natural selection in the dating process.

Yeah, and men love women that act like a second mother, so that he doesn’t have to do the cooking and cleaning for himself. Growing up really ruins a person’s idea of love.
