Why am I attracted to Lesbians?

To be more specific, it’s often the case that when I’m attracted to a woman I discover they are lesbians. And before anyone out there gets the idea that they’re saying this to get me to go away, most of them aren’t even aware I have any interest in them. I often try to get to know women before attempting to date them, sometimes this works out well for me sometimes it doesn’t. One thing I can tell you for sure it has definitely helped me avoid the awkward oh your a lesbian and I was just hitting on you conversation several times. Anyways basically I just want to know why this keeps happening?

To be honest, most of the time it is that way as well for me and it gets really awkward. I guess the traits that most lesbians have (or rather the lesbians that you are infatuated with) are the kind that you like.
